This Month in Star Citizen: July 2022
Star Citizen Alpha 3.17.2 is set to launch soon, bringing exciting new content and features to the persistent universe. This major update introduces the Siege of Orison dynamic event, allowing players to participate in large-scale combat on the gas giant Crusader.
The patch also adds new derelict ship and colonial outpost points of interest to explore, as well as illegal delivery missions that offer higher rewards but increased risk. Players can look forward to improved gameplay and numerous bug fixes as well.
Several in-game events are planned for July to keep the community engaged:
-
The Nine Tails Lockdown event returns, with the criminal organization attempting to take control of stations around Crusader. Players can choose to support either the Civilian Defense Force or the Nine Tails gang.
-
The popular Jumptown 2.0 dynamic event will make another appearance, challenging players to compete for control of a lucrative drug lab.
-
Foundation Festival kicks off on July 7th, celebrating the Star Citizen community with updates to the Guide System, org spotlights, and exclusive earnable ship paints.
A Free Fly event from July 7-18 will allow new players to try out Star Citizen at no cost. Existing players who refer friends during this period will receive a free Drake Dragonfly hoverbike.
Looking ahead, the annual Ship Showdown competition will begin in August, letting the community vote on their favorite spacecraft designs. And in September, Talk Like a Pirate Day will be celebrated with themed events and contests.
With major updates, community events, and new player initiatives, July is shaping up to be an exciting month in the Star Citizen universe. Whether battling for control of Orison or exploring derelict ships, there's plenty of new content for both veteran and rookie pilots to enjoy.
The Siege of Orison: A 30K.fun Adventure
As the Siege of Orison event kicked off, the members of the 30K.fun Referral Club gathered in their hangar, excited to join the fray. Captain Glitch, known for his uncanny ability to crash ships in spectacular ways, addressed the crew.
"Alright, recruits! Today we show those Nine Tails what happens when they mess with Crusader. But first, did everyone remember to use their Star Citizen Referral Code before joining?"
The newer members nodded enthusiastically, grateful for the bonuses they'd received from the RSI Referral Code Club. Even in the face of impending danger, the 30K.fun crew couldn't help but spread the joy of what code to use when joining the verse.
As they approached Orison, the comm channels erupted with chatter about the massive battle. Suddenly, a familiar error message flashed across their screens. "30K incoming!" shouted Lieutenant Lag.
Instead of panicking, the crew burst into laughter. This was what they lived for – finding fun in the face of bugs and crashes.
"Quick! Everyone to the escape pods!" Captain Glitch commanded with a grin. "Last one to reconnect buys drinks at Cousin Crow's!"
As they raced to rejoin the battle, the 30K.fun members couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie. They knew that no matter what bugs they encountered, they'd face them together, always ready to help new players navigate the verse through The Star Citizen Referral Code Club.
With a cheer, they dove back into the Siege of Orison, determined to make the most of this epic event – crashes, bugs, and all.
