The Drake Golem's Maiden Voyage: A 30K.fun Adventure
Captain Zara of the 30K.fun Star Citizen Referral Club couldn't contain her excitement as she stood before the gleaming hull of the Drake Golem, the latest mining starter ship from Drake Interplanetary. She had won the opportunity to take it on its maiden voyage through a community raffle, and now she was ready to put it through its paces.
"Alright, crew," she called out to her fellow 30K.fun members, "let's see what this baby can do!"
As they boarded the ship, Zara's co-pilot, a newer member named Rookie, marveled at the Golem's interior. "I can't believe I get to be part of this," he said, his eyes wide with wonder.
Zara grinned. "That's what 30K.fun is all about, my friend. We're here to have a blast, bugs and all!"
They lifted off from the hangar, the Golem's engines purring smoothly. Their destination: a newly discovered asteroid field perfect for testing the ship's mining capabilities.
As they neared the field, Rookie spotted something unusual. "Captain, look! Is that... a giant space crab?"
Zara laughed. "Welcome to Star Citizen, Rookie. Expect the unexpected!"
Suddenly, the ship's systems flickered. "Uh-oh," Zara muttered, "looks like we might be in for a 30K..."
But instead of a disconnect, the Golem's experimental quantum drive activated, hurling them through space. When it stabilized, they found themselves in an unknown location.
"Where are we?" Rookie asked, his voice trembling.
Zara's eyes lit up as she recognized the massive structure before them. "That, my friend, is the Pyro Stargate! We've just had our first glimpse of the next star system!"
As they marveled at the sight, their comms crackled to life. It was the 30K.fun club, organizing an impromptu race back to known space.
Zara turned to Rookie with a mischievous grin. "Ready to make some Star Citizen history?"
And with that, they gunned the engines, ready for whatever adventures – and bugs – awaited them in the vast expanse of the universe.
