These completions indicate steady progress on core gameplay systems and environmental elements for the single-player campaign.
For the persistent universe, the unoccupied Rest Stop Space Station has been temporarily removed from the roadmap as development priorities shift more towards planetary locations. This task is expected to return to the roadmap at a later date once new target dates are determined.
A large number of features were also marked as released for the PU with Alpha 3.8, including:

- New weapons like the Animus missile launcher and P6-LR sniper rifle
- Planetary weather effects
- Server-side object container streaming

This extensive list of released features demonstrates the significant amount of new content and technology that was delivered with the Alpha 3.8 update in December.
The development team continues to make steady progress across multiple aspects of Star Citizen. While some tasks are being reprioritized, core technology and gameplay systems are advancing for both the MMO and single-player experiences. Backers can look forward to more updates in the coming weeks as planning meetings conclude and new roadmap columns are added to show goals beyond Alpha 4.0.
The Microtech Mishap
As the sleek Constellation Andromeda glided through the icy atmosphere of Microtech, Captain Zara couldn't help but grin. Her Star Citizen Referral Code Club buddies were in for a treat - the newly released planet was a winter wonderland of opportunity.
"Alright team, let's see what this RSI referral code club can do on some fresh terrain," Zara announced over the comms. Her crew of four had been itching to test out the new planetary weather effects and FPS close combat mechanics.
As they approached New Babbage's landing zone, a sudden gust of wind rocked the ship. "Looks like that new atmosphere tech is working a little too well," joked co-pilot Jake, frantically adjusting controls.
The moment their boots hit the snow, chaos erupted. A rogue AI ship, clearly struggling with the new 3D pathfinding, careened towards them. "Scatter!" yelled Zara, diving behind a nearby rock formation.
In the ensuing firefight, the crew found themselves separated. Zara tapped her mobiGlas, trying to coordinate a meetup point. "Hey, what code to use to regroup?" she typed, before realizing her mistake. "I mean, what comms to use?"
As they battled through the storm, utilizing the new cover system and testing out their Animus missile launchers, Zara couldn't help but laugh. This was exactly the kind of chaotic fun The Star Citizen Referral Code Club lived for.
Hours later, huddled in a cozy corner of New Babbage, the team recounted their misadventures. "You know," mused Jake, nursing a virtual hot cocoa, "I bet the new players we referred would love this madness."
Zara nodded, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Well, that's what the Referral Code Club is all about - sharing the joy of the unexpected. Now, who's ready to try out that new 890 Jump mission?"
