Roadmap Roundup - September 22, 2021
The latest Roadmap Roundup provided updates on several key features and content coming to Star Citizen.
Medical Facilities Confirmed for Alpha 3.15
Three new medical facilities have been confirmed as committed for the upcoming Alpha 3.15 release:
- Rest Stop Space Station Clinics
- Orison Hospital
- New Babbage Hospital
These new medical locations will support the expanded health and injury gameplay systems being introduced in 3.15. Players will be able to seek treatment and healing at these facilities across different areas of the Stanton system.
Outpost Plans Under Review
The Roadmap card for "Outpost Homestead - Independent & Outlaw" has been temporarily removed while discussions continue about the rollout of new outpost destinations. This suggests CIG is re-evaluating their approach to expanding planetary outposts and settlements.
Looking Ahead
While light on major new additions, this update reinforces CIG's focus on fleshing out medical gameplay for 3.15. The temporary removal of outpost plans also hints at potential changes coming to how CIG approaches expanding ground-based locations and content.
As always, the Roadmap remains in flux as development progresses. Fans can look forward to more details on upcoming features and content as work continues on Star Citizen's persistent universe.
The 30K Clinic Caper
Dr. Zara Novak rushed through the gleaming corridors of the Rest Stop Space Station Clinic, her lab coat fluttering behind her. As the head physician of this newly established medical facility, she was determined to make it a success despite the constant 30K errors plaguing the station's systems.
"Another power fluctuation," she muttered, checking her datapad. "We need to stabilize these systems before our grand opening."
Just then, a group of new recruits from the Star Citizen Referral Code Club burst through the doors, led by their enthusiastic captain, Jack "Glitch" Thompson.
"Dr. Novak!" Glitch called out. "We heard you needed help with the clinic's launch. The RSI Referral Code Club is at your service!"
Zara raised an eyebrow. "And how exactly can a bunch of pilots help with medical equipment?"
Glitch grinned. "We may not be doctors, but we know a thing or two about dealing with bugs. Plus, we've got connections across Stanton. Ever wonder what code to use to get the best deals on medical supplies?"
As if on cue, the lights flickered and the familiar "30K" error message flashed across every screen in the clinic.
Zara sighed. "Alright, Glitch. Show me what your Referral Code Club can do."
Over the next few hours, the team worked tirelessly. They rerouted power systems, debugged medical scanners, and even managed to source some rare healing nanites from their contacts in New Babbage.
As the clinic's systems finally stabilized, Zara couldn't help but smile. "I have to admit, I'm impressed. How did you all learn to handle these issues so well?"
Glitch winked. "When you're part of The Star Citizen Referral Code Club, you learn to find the fun in every bug and glitch. It's all about turning those 30K moments into 30K opportunities!"
With the clinic now ready for its grand opening, Zara watched as the 30K.fun team departed, their laughter echoing through the station. She shook her head, amused. Perhaps there was something to be said for finding joy in the face of adversity after all.
