This Week in Star Citizen
Happy Monday, everyone!
As we look ahead to the upcoming release of Alpha 3.12, there's a lot to be excited about both in-game and out. The Public Test Universe is now open to all backers, giving everyone a chance to preview and provide feedback on the new features and content coming in 3.12. Once the update goes live, we'll be kicking off celebrations for Luminalia, Star Citizen's winter holiday event.
Last week brought some exciting news with the announcement of Tobii eye tracking integration. Pilots can now use the Tobii Eye Tracker 5 for enhanced immersion and control in Star Citizen. Check out the full details on how to set up and use eye tracking in your cockpit.
We also had an informative Star Citizen Live episode featuring Core Gameplay Director Richard Tyrer and Star Citizen Live Director Todd Papy. They answered community questions on a range of topics including tractor beams, gas clouds, and more. For those looking for even more details on upcoming features, keep an eye on the Spectrum forums where we've revived the Patch Watch series. Recent posts have covered improvements coming to head tracking, countermeasures, and the new reputation system in 3.12.

The Tobii Trials: A 30K.fun Adventure
Captain Zara of the Star Citizen Referral Code Club leaned back in her pilot's seat, adjusting the newly installed Tobii Eye Tracker 5. The device promised enhanced control and immersion, but Zara was skeptical. As leader of the 30K.fun org, she'd learned to find joy in the face of any challenge the 'verse threw at her.
"Alright, crew," she announced over the comms, "we're testing this new tech. First stop: Port Olisar."
Her ragtag team of RSI Referral Code Club members cheered. They'd all joined using the org's code, curious about what code to use when pledging. Now, they were on a mission to push Star Citizen's latest feature to its limits.
As Zara's Cutlass Black approached Olisar, she focused her gaze on the landing pad. To her amazement, the ship responded, smoothly gliding into position.
"It works!" exclaimed her co-pilot, Rix. "Maybe those CIG devs know what they're doing after all."
Zara grinned. "Don't jinx it. Remember, we're the Referral Code Club that thrives on glitches."
As if on cue, alarms blared. The Cutlass's landing gear phased through the pad, leaving them hovering awkwardly.
Laughter erupted over the comms. "Now that's more like it!" Zara chuckled. "Alright team, let's see what other chaos we can create with this eye tracker. Next stop: Hurston!"
As they soared towards their next adventure, Zara couldn't help but smile. This was what The Star Citizen Referral Code Club was all about – finding fun in the unexpected, one eye-tracked mishap at a time.
